Second Call for Papers 15TH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON MEMBRANE COMPUTING, CMC15 Prague, Czech Republic, August 20 - 22, 2014 http://cmc15.slu.cz ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The Conference on Membrane Computing (CMC) series started in 2000 as the Workshop on Multiset Processing. The first Workshop on Membrane Computing was organized in Curtea de Argeş, Romania, in 2001. In 2010 it was transformed into a conference, CMC11. The last edition, CMC14, was held in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova, in 2013. Nowadays a Steering Committee takes care of the continuation of the CMC series which is organized under the auspices of the European Molecular Computing Consortium (EMCC). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Important dates: Deadline for submissions: April 28, 2014 Notification of acceptance: June 6, 2014 Final version: June 30, 2014 Conference: August 20 - 22, 2014 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Organizing institution Silesian University in Opava. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Aims and scope The goal of CMC15 is to bring together researchers working in membrane computing and related fields, in a friendly atmosphere enhancing communication, cooperation and continuing the tradition of the past meetings. Membrane computing (P systems theory) is an area of computer science aiming to abstract computing ideas and models from the structure and the functioning of living cells, as well as from the way the cells are organized in tissues or higher order structures. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Invited speakers Ludek Cienciala Erzsébet Csuhaj-Varjú Mario J. Pérez-Jiménez Jiri Wiedermann Claudio Zandron ---------------------------------------------------------------------- PhD studentships available! A limited number of studentships are available for PhD students with papers accepted who aim to attend the conference and present their papers.
